Elementary Division
Dance with Me, Pre-Dance, Level 1, Level 2, Level 3

Placement in the elementary division is based on a combination of many factors, including age, ability, coordination, maturity, strength, cognition, and group interaction. Students often spend several years in each level as they progress and develop their skills.

Dance with MeAn interactive movement class designed for young dancers (18 months+) and their parent/caregiver. Each class will introduce the dancing duo to exercises to develop rhythm, coordination skills, spatial relationships, and social skills. Toddling dancers will improve cognitive development by using story-time imagination.

Pre-DanceA Ballet/Tap combo class that focuses on creative movement, musicality, basic positions, movements, and terms of classical ballet, with exercises to develop skills.

Ballet & Tap 1Class is structured around mat-based conditioning exercises and center work focusing on musicality, strength, flexibility, coordination, and classical ballet terminology and movements.
BALLET 1 DRESS CODE: Dancewear of your choice, hair in a tidy bun or out of the face if too short CLASS: 60 minutes, once or twice a week AGE: 5-6 years TAP 1 DRESS CODE: Dancewear of your choice, hair in a tidy bun or out of the face if too short CLASS: 30 minutes, once a week AGE: 5-6 years Eligible for The Nutcracker and Showcase performances. |
Ballet & Tap 2Students build upon their developed skills, integrating conditioning exercises with introductory barre work and expanded center-work, attending class twice a week to increase consistency.

Ballet, Jazz & Tap 3Students expand their skills by the diversification of the vocabulary introduced at this level. Barre work is emphasized to prepare the muscles for more difficult center work,
attending class three times a week to increase strength and stability. End-of-year evaluations are introduced at this level.
