Vladimir DjouloukhadzeIs a former principal of the Georgian National Opera and Ballet Theater of Tbilisi, ballet master, teacher and choreographer. Mr. Djouloukhadze is best known for his highly technical and emotional representation of roles in classical performances, as well as 20th century premieres. He toured the world with the 'Stars of the Bolshoi Ballet'.
Mr. Djouloukhadze started his teaching at the Georgian Ballet Art State School in 1980. In the USA he served as director of the Mississippi Ballet School (1991-1993), a faculty member of the Kirov Academy of Ballet (1993-2008), and the Washington Ballet School (2008-2017). After leaving the school he started private coaching. He has been developing his students into winners of major international ballet competitions, including Varna International Ballet Competition, the USA International Ballet Competition, Helsinki International Ballet Competition, YAGP, among others. His students have gone on to become soloists and principals of some of the world's most prominent companies, including the Royal Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Mariinsky Ballet, Stuttgart Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, Boston Ballet, Houston Ballet, Washington Ballet, to name a few. |
Giselle ColasA graduate of the National Institute of Fine Arts and Literature, Mexico; Ms. Colas received a scholarship to study at the prestigious Vaganova Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg, Russia. Upon graduation she danced with the then Kirov Ballet, now Mariinsky Ballet in St. Petersburg. She returned to Mexico to dance with the National Dance Company as a soloist, and later founded the group “Choreographic Miniatures”, where she was the director, dancer, choreographer and teacher.
Ms. Colas became the director of the Mexican Academy of Dance, where she revised and designed the study guides, and separating the different genres into their own specialty, and elevating the degree to BFA for graduates of the programs. She is the creator of the "Manual of Body Conditioning for Professional Dance Students". Ms. Colas currently works as a teacher and advisor to schools of classical ballet which follow the Vaganova syllabus throughout Mexico. |
Jacob MoraJacob Mora hails from the Mile High city of Denver Colorado.
He is the founder & Artistic Director of Moraporvida Contemporary Dance based on exploring the human condition through story, movement and sound. Jacob performs, produces, directs, creates and teaches across the nation not only within movement-based work but within music, film, theatre, art & fashion. As a passionate advocate for dance and dance education, He creates outreach, discussion and lectures on the benefits of movement including His Ted X talk “The Power of Movement” with co-creator Nicole Predki. His use of music and ability to create unique musical scores adds to his choreography to create mesmerizing work. As a dance educator, Jacob has been on faculty with the University of Wyoming, UNLV, The New York Institute of Dance, and Metropolitan State University. He has had the pleasure of creating a curriculum for Dancers, Non-Dancers and people with special needs from age 5 to 85. Jacob graduated from the University of Northern Colorado and received B.A. s in both Dance & Theatre, with emphasis in Choreography, Acting, and Performance. As a dancer, Jacob has been with the Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble, Hannah Kahn Dance, Santee Smith Group and Kaleidoscope Dance Theatre. |
