Int/Adv Division

Level 4, Level 5, Level 6, Level 7/8

Placement in the intermediate/advanced division is based on many factors, including age, ability, experience, strength, and mental preparedness. Students often spend several years in each level as they progress and develop their skills. Additionally, students must be able to meet each level's requirements to progress to the next level. In level 4 pointe work is introduced and established in this level as a part of their technique class. ​Students are promoted according to individual progress in acquiring technique and strength.

Ballet, Jazz & Tap 4

Beginning level pointe-work is introduced and developed in this level as a part of their technique class.  Students are required to take a minimum of three ballet classes a week, with opportunity to take 4 times a week, and at least one other style.

BALLET 4
DRESS CODE: Black leotard with pink tights and shoes, hair in a tidy bun, colors allowed on Saturdays
CLASS: 90 minutes, four times a week
JAZZ 4
DRESS CODE: Dancewear of your choice, hair in a tidy up do 
CLASS: 60 minutes, once a week
TAP 4
DRESS CODE: Dancewear of your choice, hair in a tidy up do
CLASS: 60 minutes, once a week
AGE: 9-11 years

Eligible for The Nutcracker, Spring Ballet, and Showcase performances, with minimum enrollment requirements​

Ballet, Character, Contemporary, Jazz & Conditioning 5

Students at this level have demonstrated strength and sufficient improvement, particularly in their pointe-work to progress to more challenging technical elements. Level 5 students are introduced to the complimenting styles of Character dance, a stylized representation of a traditional folk, or national dance, mostly from eastern European countries, and are an integral part of most major full-length classical performances; and Contemporary, which every dance company has incorporated to their repertoire.

DRESS CODE: Black leotard with pink tights and shoes, hair in a tidy bun, colors allowed on Saturdays
CLASS: 90 minutes, three times a week. 120 minutes, twice a week
CHARACTER 5
DRESS CODE: Black leotard with pink tights, 1/2 inch heel black character shoes, black character skirt, hair in a tidy bun
CLASS: 60 minutes, once a week
JAZZ 5
DRESS CODE: Dancewear of your choice, hair in a tidy up do 
CLASS: 60 minutes, once a week
PBT 5
DRESS CODE: Dancewear of your choice, hair in a tidy up do 
CLASS: 60 minutes, once a week

Eligible for The Nutcracker, Spring Ballet, and Showcase performances, with minimum enrollment requirements

Ballet, Character, Contemporary, Jazz & Conditioning 6

Students at this level are considered Intermediate-Advanced and begin to take part in the major Corps de Ballet pieces. The corps is the heart of any production and requires a certain level of technique to be able to perform the rigors of dancing in a group.

DRESS CODE: Black leotard with pink tights and shoes, hair in a tidy bun, colors allowed on Saturdays
CLASS: 120 minutes, three times a week. 90 minutes, twice a week
CHARACTER 6
DRESS CODE: Black leotard with pink tights, 1/2 inch heel black character shoes, black character skirt, hair in a tidy bun
CLASS: 60 minutes, once a week
JAZZ 6
DRESS CODE: Dancewear of your choice, hair in a tidy up do 
CLASS: 60 minutes, once a week
PBT 6
DRESS CODE: Dancewear of your choice, hair in a tidy up do 
CLASS: 60 minutes, once a week

Ballet, Character, 
Contemporary, Conditioning, Jazz & Pas de deux 7/8

Students at this level are considered advanced. At this level in the program the focus concentrates on perfecting technique and developing artistry through intensive instruction, as well as the element of partnering, or pas de deux.​

BALLET 7/8
DRESS CODE: Black leotard with pink tights and shoes, hair in a tidy bun, colors allowed on Saturdays
CLASS: 120 minutes, six times a week
CHARACTER 7/8
DRESS CODE: Black leotard with pink tights, 1/2 inch heel black character shoes, black character skirt, hair in a tidy bun
CLASS: 60 minutes, once a week
PAS DE DEUX 7/8
DRESS CODE: Black leotard with pink tights and pointe-shoes, hair in a tidy bun, short skirt or practice tutu allowed
CLASS: 60 minutes, once a week
PBT 7/8
DRESS CODE: Dancewear of your choice, hair in a tidy up do 
CLASS: 60 minutes, once a week
